Slavery


Today in class we began discussing slavery and how it led to the Civil War.  Students read one of two reading assignments yesterday to get ready for this discussion.  We aren't finished yet, but you can see below what we talked about:


Students either read this assignment or alternatively this reading assignment and took notes.  We will finish up with this assignment later this week.

Today in class we completed a study guide about the American Revolution in preparation for our quiz tomorrow.  Below you can see everything we discussed.  The format of the quiz is identical to this study guide, so this is the thing that students should become very familiar with tonight.

The Declaration of Independence

Today in class we talked about declaring independence from the British and how the Declaration came to be written.  You can see what we discussed below.  Additionally students have a writing assignment to complete that is due on Wednesday night.
