Today we began reading and looking for themes in the Great Depression.  Here is the reading assignment as well as the graphic organizer and report to fill out.

DBQ Answer

Today in class we looked over how to answer a DBQ.  Students were given some information on how to come up with a thesis statement as well as how they would be graded.  Here is the rubric for the assignment, which is due Monday.

The Roaring 20's and Prohibition

Today in class we discussed the 18th Amendment and began to examine Prohibition.  Students are working in class on a document-based question (DBQ) in preparation for a writing assignment next week.  You can click here for a copy of the DBQ.

Today in class we watched a video about the U.S. during the early 20th century.  As we shift away from war we are going to begin to look at the economic decisions that made us both prosperous and that led us to a depression.  We answered these questions in class while we watched the video below.
